About

Thanks for stopping by! God laid it on my heart to start Women on God’s Mission in 2011. At the time, I had small children and struggled with chronic illness. I needed a way to encourage and minister from my home. So, I decided to encourage women in their walk with God through my computer! With my husband’s blessing and much prayer, Women On God’s Mission was born.

My primary ministry (and best friend) is my husband of 18 years and our children (10th and 8th grades), honoring our parents, ministering to my church family, neighbors, community, and online community.

I haven’t blogged much in recent years because, if I have time to be online, I prefer to be interacting real-time, with sisters-in-Christ from around the world in our WOGM Facebook group. You’re welcome to check out our Women On God’s Mission Facebook group.

WOGM is here for three main reasons:

1.  Glorify God – My purpose for living: GOD.  I am far from perfect, but I seek to honor God in my private and public life.  It’s pretty incredible that from my home computer I can lift up our wonderful God by sharing His Word, testimonials of what He is doing in my life and in the lives of others.

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
I Corinthians 10:31 ESV

2. Personal Growth and Accountability – When I share what God is teaching me with others, it becomes more solid in my life. The closer I walk with God, the stronger I can stand for truth in this world.  Scripture is trustworthy and relevant for today – God is alive and well!

“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14

3.  Encourage the Body of Christ – There is so much yucky news out there. How about a place to regroup and recharge?  Here you will find truth, joy, beauty, comfort, and inspiration.  Because of God, we can live with joy and peace in our hearts (and on our faces)!  You will especially like the “In Her Shoes” series.  I’ve had amazing opportunities to interview women on God’s mission across the USA and around the world. This peek into their lives helps us better understand God’s faithfulness, as well as knowing how to better serve others.

… and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Whenever WOGM or I come to your mind, I hope you think of JESUS!  May He be lifted up … because it’s all about Him. And if you don’t yet know my Jesus, I would love to tell you about Him.  God is faithful, through every change and every stage of life.

Joyfully His,
Sara
Psalm 73:26

  2. It is great to meet you, Jennifer … thank you for sharing your story with me! These bodies God created are beyond amazing. So thankful that you figured out what your body needs. It’s not easy being an AIP eater, but God can use these struggles to strengthen our relationship with Him, while giving new opportunities to share the Bread of Life (and He is GF!) with a hungry world. Love and prayers! 🙂

  3. So excited to see this blog Sara! I too am a Christian. I have been struggling with psoriasis for some time. I also have struggled with my weight for years. Have prayed and prayed for God to help me control my eating. Well earlier this year my psoriasis got really horrific and severe. I ended up on AIP after some researching, was healed of it, lost 40 lbs! But about 6 weeks ago I blew it big time. I can feel the weight coming back, so far my skin has stayed ok, but I need to get back on it. But anyway, excited to find your blog that celebrates our great God and promotes healthy eating, as I work to get back on track!!
